Presentation of an International Award to Danghara District

On 31 October 2026, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin presented the international award “Friendship City Award for Outstanding Partnership with China” to Sijouddin Salomzoda, Chairman of Danghara District in the Khatlon Region.
The award was conferred upon Danghara District during the China International Friendship Cities Conference 2026, held from 19 to 22 October 2026 in Xi’an, People’s Republic of China.
During the conference, participants discussed ways to expand sister-city cooperation in the fields of economy, culture, tourism, as well as other areas of mutual interest.
The award was presented by the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the China International Friendship Cities Association. It represents recognition of Danghara District’s contribution to strengthening friendly relations and promoting mutually beneficial cooperation with the People’s Republic of China.
