On June 1, 2023, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Farhod Salim received the European Union Counter-Terrorism Coordinator Ilkka Salmi and the Special Representative of the European Union for Central Asia Terhi Hakala.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on topical issues of the international and regional agenda, including the situation on the Tajik-Afghan border, as well as cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the European Union in the fight against terrorism, extremism and drug trafficking.
