Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan with the Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France

 

On December 8, 2022 in Paris, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with the Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France Ms. Catherine Colonna.

During the meeting, the state and prospects of bilateral and multilateral mutually beneficial cooperation were considered.

The parties expressed satisfaction with the fruitful results of the official visit of the Founder of Peace and National Unity-Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Mr. Emomali Rahmon to France in October 2021 and a political dialogue conducted at the highest level, as well as stressed their readiness to further enhance and enrich relations between the two countries.

Also during the meeting, issues that were discussed during a telephone conversation between the leaders of the two countries in November of this year were considered, and raised other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest, in particular the situation in Afghanistan and border strengthening.
